I whipped up a bunch of ATCs to give away/trade at my Journaling MeetUp group last weekend. The background is made of stenciled and stamped acrylic paint on cereal box cardboard. The birds are made of torn up magazine pages glued to another magazine page and then cut to shape. They are fairly quick to make and I can do several at a time which makes them great for giving away.
Your work is absolutely amazing, I'm truly awed at your talent :).
