Almost 1 Year old now!

He walks! He talks! (well, babbles really....) He opens doors with ease! He's SUPER BABY 3000!!! I just love this little guy. I went to see him today. He is cruising all over the house now. There's no stopping this guy. He also likes to splash in his pool. He is very comfortable with his body, so nudity is not an issue at all.

Sharing Time in Primary

May was my month to do Sharing Time in the Primary class at church. I taught a lesson on the topic of "faith" and as you can tell from the pictures the children were ENTHRALLED with my presentation skills and knowledge of the topic. Just kidding! But seriously, we all had fun. They are an amazing bunch of kids.

Happy Mother's Day 2015

Make, James and Sammy
I wish I could say I had a wonderful Mother's Day, but alas, I've got a cold and am feeling pretty miserable. I was obligated to play the piano for a Primary presentation in church and then had to teach a lesson in Sharing Time. I prayed for strength and got through it--barely. Spent the rest of the day doped up on Nyquil. I was supposed to work at the Gallery, but that didn't happen. Today is a little better, but I took the day off from work to prevent a relapse. Mike has had a cold for 3 weeks. I'm one week in. I think maybe yesterday was the worst day and I'll start recovering from here out. Bert sent me a picture of her household. Love that Baby!!

Early Morning Saturday

Clawdia
I've got a cold! Yuck. I woke up early realizing I had forgotten to do something for work, so I jumped on the computer this morning to do some research. Clawdia came in to keep me company. She is not my favorite cat, but she is the most affectionate. Maybe that's why...she is trying harder. We had not intended to keep her, but she's here now and apparently is here to stay. Some things are just meant to be.

Lauren's Last Day

Molly, Paula, Lauren, Anne, ME, Lynn, Tabatha, Diana
Our intern has finished up her stint here and is moving on to bigger and better things. She is going back to college, planning to go to med school. She is so sweet and cute...my hope is that while she is at UNCG she will meet my son and marry him so that when I die he'll have someone else to support him. JUST KIDDING!!! (sort of...) We went out to eat chinese and then had our picture taken out in front of the building. This big blue sculpture thing is in the traffic circle. These are all of my coworkers except for Sharon who had to take her dad for his doctor visit today and Glenna who is home sick. It's a good group. I'm lucky to actually enjoy my job and to work with a group of wonderful women. Oh, and BTW...Happy Nurse's Day to all of us!!

At the Gallery

Me and the excellent one at the gallery
I was putting in my hours at the gallery on Saturday when I got a surprise visit from Bert and the baby. She was in town visiting her oldest friend (they've known each other since Bertie was 3 years old).

I was showing sweet baby James my latest paintings. He was not overly impressed. I may have to go back to painting landscapes in watercolor to see if he likes those better. Everybody's a critic!!

The weather all weekend was incredibly perfect. The bugs, humidity and pollen were all at tolerable levels. I considered doing some gardening....but I took a nap and the urge passed.
