He's still able to get outside under his own power. He's a little wobbly on those old arthritic knees, but he's a trooper. He's 14 now. An old man, but still full of love and life.
ADDENDUM: We said goodbye to Early on April 22. The Vet from Lap of Love came to the house. Early went peacefully to sleep in his favorite bed with me and Mike at his side. It was SO hard. We sure do miss that guy. He was such a sweet dog. But we had 13 really good years with him; a long time for a big dog.
Wow that is pretty good for 15! I miss having pets, but no dogs allowed at our apt and allergic to cats so what can you do. Well there is a cat I could get, that has less of the protein I'm allergic to, a Siberian Forest cat, but they cost $1,800, so that's a nope!
