Ladies who lunch
I was able to sneak away from the computer for a few minutes to have lunch with some friends from church. We met at the Belted Goat at Fearrington Village. The weather was mild and lovely, so we were able to eat outside. I had an excellent salad with roasted brussel spouts, sweet potatoes, dates and an interesting dressing. They are all such nice people. I would have liked to have hung out a bit longer, but duty calls. Back to the grind.

Early
He's still able to get outside under his own power. He's a little wobbly on those old arthritic knees, but he's a trooper. He's 15 now. An old man, but still full of love and life.
Second snow of the season
The weatherman was correct this time. Snow started about 11am. WRAL says it will snow all night. My weather app says it will stop this evening. We'll see. It is SO beautiful. I love a good snowfall. I put out extra birdseed this morning so that the birds could fill up before the storm. They've been at it most of the day. Then I looked out my window a few minutes ago and saw a big hawk sitting on the ground. When he flew off, I saw he had caught a little bird. Oh well, they need to eat too. It's the circle of life. I sent Mal after some soy milk, Hershey's chocolate syrup and whip cream before the weather got too bad. We can enjoy a nice cup of hot chocolate while we watch the snow come down. As long as the power stays on, we will have a wonderful evening watching TV. Currently we are binging "Doc Martin". Great show. I still have to "work" but things are pretty quiet at the moment. Life is good.
